Hello, my name is Faizan.
I’m an outdoor educator and amateur naturalist based in Virginia. My passion for the outdoors developed early through an insatiable curiosity of the natural world. My goal is to develop environmental stewards by helping people connect with, appreciate, and want to protect the natural resources around them by experiencing it firsthand. I frequently lead hikes, interpretive walks, and backpacking trips locally and around the country, with my favorites being in Shenandoah National Park. I have previously led outdoor outings with the local Sierra Club chapter and taught a backpacking course at George Mason University.
The only intention of this site is to share what I learn and what I see in nature.
